Pollen is normally eaten by the spoonful, loose, and that is not always easy. Pressed into a bar it changes completely: it breaks, it travels with you and you eat it as what it looks like, a nougat.

What it is

A 200 g bar made with bee pollen and honey, cold compacted and presented as a rectangular slab, with the format and the cut of traditional nougat slabs. It breaks into portions by hand or with a knife.

Texture and flavour

Firm and granular, a little softer than a hard nougat. The pollen brings the characteristic floral and slightly bitter background; the honey binds the piece and rounds off the whole.

How to take it

One portion a day, on its own or with yoghurt, fruit or bread. Also broken over salads and desserts. It is not a medicine and does not replace a varied and balanced diet.

Storage

In a cool, dry place, protected from light and damp. Close the packaging well after each use: pollen takes up moisture easily and would lose its texture.

Contains bee pollen and honey. Pollen may cause allergic reactions in people sensitive to pollen or to bee products; if that is your case, consult a health professional before taking it.
